Welcome to your autumn edition of the newsletter. As we come to the end of the golfing season, I should like to say thank you to the Captain, Lady Captain, Seniors Captain and their respective committees for their hard work in organizing competitions, matches and other events throughout the year. The golfing year has proved very successful with many compliments received from visiting golfers to our Opens and visiting Societies. There has been some great scoring recorded by our own members in the various golf competitions and we continue to attract new members in all categories.
Lifestyle Membership has now ended, and I am pleased to say that several members have already indicated their wish to convert to full membership in 2024, when their current contract ends.
The Board are currently undertaking a full Governance review and you have hopefully received an England Golf Players First Survey. Please help us by filling in the survey and returning it to us. More details in the ‘Governance’ article in this newsletter.
Happy Golfing and fingers crossed for a good spell of weather so we can continue playing for a while longer. The course stood up well to the ravages of Storm Babet. Thank you Ritchie and your team for all your efforts in keeping the course in great condition despite the weather, and to all our staff for keeping us happy, whether we win or lose.
