From the General Manager

Hello All!
I continue to settle in at Vicar’s Cross Golf Club. Thank you to all members who are making me feel welcomed. Although the hours for golfing may be coming restricted as the nights draw in, the work required over autumn/winter does not.

I am very keen on staff development, and we recently hosted a First Aid Course at our club and were thrilled to have nine of our staff members participating. Safety is of the utmost importance, and this course ensured that our team is well-equipped to handle any unforeseen situations. Thanks to all the staff who took part in the course which included training on the club defibrillator and Catastrophic bleed injuries especially for our forestry work on the course.

You are hopefully aware of the Governance project that is ongoing and we are excited to announce that our annual Club Survey has been launched! Your feedback is invaluable in helping us make the club an even better place. We encourage all members to participate in the survey and share your thoughts on how we can enhance your experience. Once all the results are completed, we will be setting up a members evening where Ben Johnson from England Golf will present the findings and I will present on my first 4 months as club manager and answer any members questions.

We're delighted to share that the "Ladies New 2 Golf" programme has been a tremendous success, with 20 ladies joining the club membership. It's fantastic to see new members embracing the world of golf, and we look forward to seeing these ladies on the greens. A warm welcome to our new members!

New indoor rooms are nearing completion and are expected to be available for your use in November. These rooms will provide us the opportunity to carry on coaching through the winter months and allow members a chance to play some of the world’s best courses in the dry using some of the latest technology. Stay tuned for more details and how you can make reservations for these new facilities.
I hope you're as excited about these developments as we are. The club continues to grow and evolve, thanks to the active participation and support of our wonderful members. We look forward to seeing you at the Members Forum and Feedback Session later this year.

Best regards,
Phil
