Electric Vehicle Charging
A short update regarding Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities.
Required Installation:
As a condition of planning approval for the new range, the
Club is required to install EV charging facilities on the premises.
Commercial Opportunity:
The Club has been proactively researching and
evaluating the best commercial opportunities for installing additional EV charging
stations (2 in total) on our grounds. This initiative aims to generate rental income,
which would be reinvested directly into improving our course and facilities for all
members.
Location Considerations:
We understand the importance of member parking.
Therefore, requests to locate these commercial chargers in the front car park have
been declined. We are, however, exploring the potential use of the underutilised
space adjacent to the Greenkeepers facilities, along the hedge near the road.
Next Steps:
The Open Forum supported this proactive exploration of commercial
opportunities. We will continue to assess the feasibility and potential benefits for the
Club.
